Career details and aviation experience:
I've been married to Phil since 1993 and can honestly say there has never been a dull moment!
I have been accused of being the person responsible for Phil's obsession with flying! I think that's a little unfair! I did buy Phil a trial flying lesson for his birthday many years ago and I think that just re-ignited his interest in all things aviation.
I am not a pilot and have no intention of becoming one! I am very happy just being the passenger.
Since the Huey arrived we have both been surprised by the amount of attention it has received and have been overwhelmed by the response from the public.
Initially my role in the Team was to assist Phil in dealing with all the enquiries we got, keeping the website up to date and running the on-line shop! However, now that the Huey has become so popular and the amount of work involved has increased I have now passed all the work on to my brilliant colleagues, Becky and Sue.
Now my role has changed a bit and I have become part of the Ground Crew when we attend events up and down the country. You will find me managing the Shop at the air shows and at our hangar open days.
I am a qualified Veterinary Nurse; a job I have loved doing for nearly 25 years now! I obviously love animals and have collected quite a few over the years! We currently have 2 dogs, 3 cats, 1 horse, 1 donkey, 3 pygmy goats, 3 sheep, and 3 llamas! I have also started keeping bees!
So, between looking after that lot, working at the veterinary surgery and helping Phil with the Huey stuff, I am kept rather busy!
