Career details and aviation experience:
I have been married to Phil since 1993 and I can honestly say there has never been a
dull moment! We met each other in 1987 when Phil had bought himself a horse and he
brought it to the stables where I kept mine. We spent many happy hours mucking out and
going riding together!
You have probably realized Phil does not do things by halves! He learnt to ride a
horse so he bought a horse. He rides motorbikes so he buys motorbikes. I bought him a
trial flying lesson so he buys a plane! Then he gets hooked on helicopters so he buys a
helicopter! So I suppose I could be held responsible for the position we now find
ourselves in-the owners of this huey!
I am not a pilot and have no intention of becoming one! I am very happy just being the
passenger. I have been told that, once we get the display licence, my role will become
"door-gunner"!
Since the huey arrived we have both been surprised by the amount of attention it has
received and have been overwhelmed by the response from the public. So it has become my
job to assist Phil in dealing with all the enquiries we get, keeping the website up to
date and running the on-line shop!
I am a qualified veterinary nurse, a job I have loved doing for nearly 20 years now! I
obviously love animals and have collected quite a few over the years! We currently have 2
dogs, 3 cats, 1 horse, 1 donkey, 5 pygmy goats, 1 sheep, 3 geese and 5 llamas! So,
between looking after that lot, working full time and helping Phil with the huey stuff, I
am kept rather busy!
